Adding Streaming Services to Patches

Updated over 5 months ago

Services are how patches connect to streaming platforms to define which content to connect with your fans.

The first step is locating the artist, album, playlist, or podcast that you want to set up. You can either use the URL, UPC, or URI of the content you'd like to use. Keep in mind that UPCs may be different between streaming services so you may need to add some services individually. For example, TIDAL may have a different UPC for its mastered audio version than for a standard audio version of the same album. If you don't see your service from the initial search, you can add the service individually using its specific identifier.

Here's how to add services to a patch:

  1. Navigate to the Patches page from the sidebar menu

  2. Locate the patch that you want to add services to and click the "Edit" button on the right side.

  3. Click on the Services tab in the patch's edit section.

  4. Add a streaming URL, URI, or UPC for your content in the Media ID field and Sonikit will locate the content across all streaming services.

  5. Select the services you would like to include. Note that certain actions will require a specific type of content. Here are the valid media types for each action:

    1. Pre-saves - Album or single

    2. Follow Buttons - Artist profile, user profile, or podcast

    3. Library Add - Album, playlist, track, or podcast episode
