Included Message Credits by Plan

Each subscription plan includes a set number of free message credits per billing cycle:

  • Basic Plan: 400 credits

  • Pro Plan: 1,000 credits

  • Enterprise Plan: 3,000 credits

If you exceed your included message credits, there’s no need to change plans or worry about messages failing to send. Our platform will automatically bill you $0.03 per additional credit beyond your plan’s allocation. Free message credits are reset at the beginning of each billing cycle.

How Message Credits Are Used

Message credits are deducted based on the type of message sent:

SMS Messages (Standard Text Messages)

  • SMS messages consume 1 credit per message segment.

  • A message segment is based on character length and encoding:

    • Standard text messages (using GSM-7 encoding) are limited to 160 characters per segment.

    • Messages that exceed 160 characters are split into multiple segments (e.g., a 200-character message is billed as 2 credits).

    • Messages containing emojis or special characters (which require UCS-2 encoding) have a lower segment limit of 70 characters per segment.

MMS Messages (Multimedia Messages)

  • MMS messages, which include images or contact cards, cost 3 credits per message.

  • Unlike SMS, MMS messages are not subject to segmentation rules based on character count.

  • While MMS messages do have a character limit (1,600 characters), they are always billed as a single 3-credit message regardless of length.

Example Calculations

  • Sending a 100-character SMS: 1 credit

  • Sending a 250-character SMS: 2 credits (total of 2 segments)

  • Sending a 80-character SMS with an emoji: 2 credits (due to UCS-2 encoding)

  • Sending an MMS with an image: 3 credits

Monitoring Your Credit Usage

You can track your message credit usage in your account dashboard. If you exceed your plan’s included credits, overages will be automatically billed on your next invoice at the standard rate of $0.03 per additional credit.
